About the Species

Medium-sized flycatcher is colored overall, male more than the female. This bird favors open hill forests as well as forest edge, particularly in drier, scrubby areas, often close to water. Both sexes give a high-pitched tinkling song. Their calls include dry rattles and metallic clinks.

About the Species

Western meadowlark have yellow underparts with a black “V” on the breast and white flanks. These birds have long, pointed bills and their heads are striped. These birds forage on the ground or in low to semi-low vegetation. They sometimes search for food by probing with their bills.

About the Species

The lucifer sheartail or lucifer hummingbird is a medium-sized, about 10 cm long hummingbird with a slightly curved bill and distinctive outward flare of its gorget feathers. Its habitat is in high-altitude areas of northern Mexico and southwestern United States.

The green-ringed parakeet, also known as the ring-necked parrot, is a medium-sized parrot in the genus Psittacula, of the family Psittacidae. Native to Asia and famous for its singing voice.
