Mission and Monument peaks form a dramatic backdrop for the South Bay Area.
A well used park, particularly on weekends, with hundreds of visitors attempting the 3-plus-mile hike to Mission Peak. About five hours are required to reach the summit and return. From Mission Peak, hikers can enjoy the views of Mount Hamilton, the Santa Cruz Mountains, Mt. Tamalpais, and Mt. Diablo and the Sierra Nevada.
About the Artwork
This painting is landscape artwork painted in impressionistic style similar to other ones in the series of landscapes. Bhavna chose to paint this sunny afternoon scene in bright hues. As usual, the chosen palette is simpler and sharper as observed by the artist, not as actually was.
The rich brushstrokes are loaded with paint and show lot of movement and expression.
